The Beauty Surrounding Us

Finding Peace in Nature

The Earth is getting a well deserved rest and the beauty of Nature is shining brighter than ever. Is it due to being thrown into this sudden stillness that I am seeing colours more vividly, hearing more birdsong than before, finding stunning cloud formations and noticing the leaves glistening in the sun? Is it the Earth rejuvenating or has this striking beauty always been here and I have been too busy to notice?

All I know is that I cannot think too far forward or I feel my heart start to race and I feel the grip of fear in my stomach. So I stay here now, taking in all the beauty that Nature has to offer, using all my senses to anchor myself in this present moment. It is here that I will stay and bask, giving gratitude to what I am surrounded by and be attentive to my inner and outer worlds, with love, compassion and acceptance.
